.:Production Update:.

Okay, so, I promised you guys a "real" update on Condition 2's first production.  Well, here y'go!

Our last meeting (the Saturday before Easter) the three of us started the process of storyboarding and discussed possible locations.  We made it a little over half-way through the script, fine-tuning each scene as necessary--Tim had a few brilliant ideas for shot set-up that will really add a creep-factor to a few--and walked away from the table feeling pretty good about our progress and the direction this film is headed.  Jeff is our most experienced guy in terms of...well...everything about making movies.  He has extensive knowledge and actual experience in the process and is acting director of this project.  These things have, thus far, been an incredible asset and I think with time, will eventually bleed over into Tim and I and the three of us will make a very solid creative team.

The ideas and improvements Tim and Jeff have brought to script have improved my story ten-fold and I simply can't wait to see where it goes.  We're not even half-way through our first film and already I feel like we've stumbled onto something with serious potential.

As far as the rest of production goes, I can't say too much with certainty.  I recently approached the group with an idea for our lead role--with Tim and I in minor roles, heh--and we're making some progress on music choices.  We've decided on the equipment we'll be using and Jeff has some fantastic ideas for lighting.  Other than that, though, all I can say is that we've gotten the ball rolling and it's picking up speed.

My hope for next week is to finish up the storyboarding and scout a few locations; possibly shooting some still for use in the "final" version of the poster.  In the meantime, I'll check with the guys about maybe getting a few storyboards up for you.  Until then, have a nice week!

Trouble with Custom Domains

Hey,

Well, finally got the site running again.  I'm sorry for the long URL, but there seems to be some issues with the custom domain name--Condition2.com--I purchased through GoDaddy and I'm still trying to iron it out.

Hopefully, Jeff and Tim will jump onboard the blog and start posting snippits of their own here and there, but until then, you'll have to deal with me!  Muwahahahahaha....er...sorry.

Anyway, expect a better update post later on today.

Jeff's Poster Mock-Up

Here's a teaser poster mock-up that Jeff did last week.  Keep in mind it's very rough and was done later during insomniac hours.

Still, though, I think it's very awesome and we'll be using the concept for the official one.

Great Friends and Short Films

Hey, guys!

My name's Ray and I am one of three guys you'll see posting up here throughout the...well...however long we decide to go with this thing!  I'm one of a new...well...trifecta would be suficient terminology, I think.  You see, a few weeks ago now I decided that it was time to do something substantial with my writing.  Sure I've written a few short stories here and there and I'm currently working on a comic book and do a blog, but nothing's really come of any of that so far.  So, with the goal of producing something awesome, I contacted my friends Tim and Jeff--I'll let them introduce themselves, but, both of whom are readily dripping with the aforementioned awesome--and pitched the idea of starting a film crew.

Thus, Condition 2 Productions was born...

Our goal is to write, direct and produce a series of short films, running the gamut of genres and put them out for all your viewing glory.  We're starting with this blog--which will be the central location for all things Condition 2--but when we're finished with the first film we'll start a YouTube channel dedicated to our films and, who knows, perhaps when we have enough, we'll put out a DVD with some special features and the like.  As for what you can expect to see on this page, our goal is to post production blogs, stills, and posters.  You may eventually see interview vids and webisodes, though that's something that will need to be decided on first.  But expect to be kept up to date on our current projects at the very least.

As of right now, we are in the pre-production stages on our first film, a short horror called Rear View Mirror.  Based on a short story I wrote years ago, RVM is the shocking tale of why some people should never look back.  We're currently making some minor revisions to the script and hope to have shooting wrapped up by the end of May.  We're all very excited about this project and are working hard to deliver work that is nothing short of professional quality and hope that you will follow us on this journey into the depths of imagination!
