Okay, so, I promised you guys a "real" update on Condition 2's first production. Well, here y'go!
Our last meeting (the Saturday before Easter) the three of us started the process of storyboarding and discussed possible locations. We made it a little over half-way through the script, fine-tuning each scene as necessary--Tim had a few brilliant ideas for shot set-up that will really add a creep-factor to a few--and walked away from the table feeling pretty good about our progress and the direction this film is headed. Jeff is our most experienced guy in terms of...well...everything about making movies. He has extensive knowledge and actual experience in the process and is acting director of this project. These things have, thus far, been an incredible asset and I think with time, will eventually bleed over into Tim and I and the three of us will make a very solid creative team.
The ideas and improvements Tim and Jeff have brought to script have improved my story ten-fold and I simply can't wait to see where it goes. We're not even half-way through our first film and already I feel like we've stumbled onto something with serious potential.
As far as the rest of production goes, I can't say too much with certainty. I recently approached the group with an idea for our lead role--with Tim and I in minor roles, heh--and we're making some progress on music choices. We've decided on the equipment we'll be using and Jeff has some fantastic ideas for lighting. Other than that, though, all I can say is that we've gotten the ball rolling and it's picking up speed.
My hope for next week is to finish up the storyboarding and scout a few locations; possibly shooting some still for use in the "final" version of the poster. In the meantime, I'll check with the guys about maybe getting a few storyboards up for you. Until then, have a nice week!
Later!
